Ingredients & Concentrations: Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg
How to use: Start with 2 tablets (4 mg) to be followed by 1 tablet (2 mg) after every loose stool. The usual dose is 3-4 tablets (6 mg-8 mg) daily. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (12 mg).
Precautions: This medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions such as stomach/abdominal pain without diarrhea, bowel obstruction. The rapidly dissolving tablets may contain aspartame or phenylalanine. If you have phenylketonuria (PKU) or any other condition that requires you to restrict your intake of aspartame or phenylalanine, consult your doctor. It is contraindicated in cases of diarrhea caused by poisoning or infection with enterotoxin-producing bacteria (bacterial gastroenteritis). It is not recommended for use in children under 2 years of age.
